I’m a huge fan of cartoons, the memories of Saturdays starting off with the early morning toons rolling into the afternoon where I’d find something to do outside once my last favorite show was over. Now that I’m older, the taste has become refined. TMNT, Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs becomes Futurama, Family Guy, South Park. But it seems like The Simpsons is a timeless classic that still has a bite. Falling into a good toon is a great way to unwind and let the day or week’s weights fall right off.
I want to do photography more, but it seems like I pull myself in too many directions. Photography, programming, guitar practice, trying to get in shape, all of this top of the normal Papa Bear routine. I’m so looking forward to HOPE, more on that later. We watched Takedown recently getting prepped for the conference, ha.

There’s a new
star wars television show due to be released
in 2008. The show will revolve around Luke’s missing 20 years, between Episode III and IV. I’m not sure if the show will
be primarily about Luke/Leia or the full rise of the Empire, but there are certainly die-hard Star Wars fanatics who will be
tivoing every episode.
In other news, we got over 5″ of snow today, but I decided to ignore all warnings and brace
the hour long drive to
Ironically, I decided to travel straight down IN-46 instead of taking I-70 over to Brazil and then IN-59 around to meet up
with IN-46. As a result, before I got to the IN-46 and IN-59 interesection, I hit a patch of snow and the car swerved
towards oncoming traffic; natural instinct had me maneuver as to not crash with the approaching truck, and my car ended up
in a deep ditch half filled with water. Luckily, my car remained with passanger side in the water and driver side out of
water so that I could get in and out of the car. However, the water level was higher than the bottom of the car door, so
the car began to take water. After sitting in the ditch for an hour and a half, a conservation officer finally stopped and
we got the car out, which is now in the shop. And I’m stuck working from home until Switzer’s gets all the damage
repaired (thankfully, I don’t believe there is any major damage as I wasn’t traveling fast).
I talked to my boss
later, who informed me that he tried to contact me in order to tell me not to worry about coming in today–HA! Irony rues
the day!
